Rider Policy

Riders must be 18 or older and submit a government ID, a selfie, vehicle details, a valid rider's permit or licence where required, next-of-kin details and a guarantor. DEMU reviews each application before activating rider access.

Wear a helmet, obey Nigerian traffic law, never handle the app while riding, and never carry a passenger on a delivery run. Riding under the influence, or asking a customer for a payment outside the app, results in permanent removal.

Your live location is shared with the customer and DEMU operations only while a delivery is active, and is deleted as soon as the order is delivered or cancelled. Customer addresses and phone numbers are for that delivery only and must never be saved, shared or reused.

Your share of the delivery fee is credited to your rider wallet when the delivery is completed with a valid PIN and confirmation photo. Withdrawals go to your verified bank account, subject to the minimum withdrawal amount, and are confirmed by our payment provider before being marked paid. Questions: hello@shopdemu.com.
